Creation of Tableau Dashboard using Impala as Datasource -


i have imapla table contains voluminous records(39885593) , need create dashboard using impala table via tableau.

i tried acheive requirement in multiple ways below

1) extracted data impala table in tableau extract , creating dashboard. 2) use data extract , switch connection live connection 3) live connection

approach 1 : able create dashboard data extract. gives performance. problem appoach data transactional data grows everyday if go via approach data extract going take more space in tableau server.

approach2: using approach able design dashboard efficiently when switch connection data extract live , publish dashboard takes lot of time publish dashboard when view dashboard via tableau server opening dashboard in browser takes more time.

approach 3: live connection gives slow performance while designing , publishing dashboard.

if has come across kind of requiremnt can please provide me suggestion same.

you live connection gives slow performance, maybe try aggregating data in impala custom sql query before bringing tableau?
