ubuntu 14.04 - connect (RS232 to USB )cable on linux -


i have jdm programmer pic microcontrollers came rs232 port have bought rs232 usb cable driver windows , use xubuntu 14.04lts have tried dmesg , lsusb , shows cable connected when try burn hex file programmer gives me output

ok. 1. jdm programmer uses voltage true serial port extract vpp , vdd required program pic controller. usb2rs232 adapter purchased never work on win or linux no matter try. if unlucky user of laptop option buy/build usb version of programmer uses external power. 2. rrror message comes fact did not configure programmer corectly.in hardware section of picpgm have configure programmer , timers. please consult picpgm manual , website.
