android - How does Google Now (Now on Tap) search inside apps? -


so google has released new feature google called on tap. enables user contextual different apps (the verge video example).

  • does take screenshot of current app , use ocr extract text?
  • does have "special google permission" allows read values within views?

primarily, should work using the assist api added m developer preview. "now on tap" proprietary , unreleased, can guess @ time.
